WORK IS WORSHIP

Work is Worship" quoted by Mahatma Gandhi but in fact it has been taken from the concept of "Karma yoga" which belongs to the Bhagavad-Gita. 

Karma yoga is actually the concept of spiritual practice of selfless action or work done for the welfare of humanity. In this three kinds of work or action has been suggested in which that work which is oriented towards the welfare of humanity and which is done without keeping its consequences and its fruit in mind, has been told as the highest quality of work.

Now it was about the work which is inherent in the very nature of every humans but when it becomes the duty of an individual human, or a group of humans, or of a human society, or of a nation, or of the entire world, it goes beyond the worship i.e it goes one step further of worship, it is the purest form of work as well as worship. As I have mentioned earlier also that it was this purest form of work which was done by the Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram, that made him God. And those who failed to do so became Devils. Hence at present when this country is passing through hardship, various problems have come together, in this grave situation it is the foremost duty of those people who are entrusted with the duty of taking the people of this nation out of all these problems, to do something substantial which is targeted to their real problem . Their whole and sole effort should be oriented towards resolving the problem of this nation and its people. Resolving people's problem or ensuring human welfare is not only their work rather it is their duty and as such it is the purest form of work which is beyond worship and beyond temple. Mandir-Masjid making is not the duty of a government who has been entrusted with the task of taking the whole humanity towards its welfare.

When we say HUMANITY, it is beyond the distinction of any religion, race, cast, sex and place of birth, it means the whole human community and it is government's duty to take them all together towards their welfare. Discrimination on the basis of religion, for them whose duty is to take them all together, will make them devil. Because neither you (government) are doing your work as an individual nor doing your duty as a leader. Since you(government) are discriminating among your own people, who all are your responsibility, on the basis of religion. Although mandir is also important but it is not your responsibility or duty since you are entrusted with the duty to serve the whole humanity irrespective of discrimination of any kind, your responsibility is making hospital, colleges, schools etc because it serves the whole humanity all together. It is this failure on your part that people are in such all-round problems today and also it is your failure that people are unable to understand today what is more important for them and what is not. Because instead of imparting scientific temper and rationality you kept them in illusion about their welfare and their real need by spreading fake news and illusive propaganda. Actually it is an act to debar people from getting "Jnana yoga" which is the path of knowledge and part of Karma yoga. Such debar prevents an individual from doing their own duty because of illusive and fake knowledge.

Hence making a temple and growing a beard will not take anybody towards redemption rather it is your right work and right duty which will take you towards redemption. And that right work for an individual is, their every effort should be towards human welfare and social harmony. And for a government, human welfare should be the ultimate goal and every effort should be towards social justice and social harmony and when I say human it means the whole humanity irrespective of their religion, race, caste, sex, and place of birth. Such human welfare and social justice is inherent today in the hospitals, schools, colleges, employment opportunities, social harmony, unity and integrity rather than mandir and masjid. Hence as has been said "work is worship" thus emphasis should be on right work rather than merely worship.
